Knight is nearly Regent’s saviour

SPENCER Knight was millimetres from a perfect start to his managerial tenure at Wingate & Finchley in this basement battle with Brightlingsea Regent.
The former Harlow assistant’s side lead from the 13th minute, courtesy of Epin McKeown’s fi rst goal for the club.
However, Knight was left to rue two strikes against the woodwork sandwiched between Billy Hunt’s late leveller.
Neither side have won in the league since August, but a point lifted Regent out of the bottom three.
