SERGIO TORRES says he is happy to take on a player- assistant manager role at Eastbourne Borough despite being overlooked for the top job permanently.
The Argentine former Wycombe and Crawley Town midfielder took charge of the Sports on a player-caretaker basis after Lee Bradbury quit the Priory Lane club.
But this week, Sports moved to install Danny Bloor as manager, having previously assisted Jamie Howell and Mark McGhee, leaving Torres to take on the role of player/ assistant boss with Scott Chalmers-Stevens becoming first-team coach.
