MICK TO LIFT LYDD?

STRUGGLING Lydd Town have promoted Mick Doyle to manager. Doyle was previously assistant to Liam Smith, who quit after eight years with the South Counties East Division One club as a player and then manager.
Smith, 32, said he left his position with the Lydders “with a heavy heart” as his family had been involved with the club for more than 35 years, but said he needed a break from the game. Before he became manager, Smith had been assistant to his dad Dave.
