SPENNYMOOR TOWN picked up a key victory on the road despite Gloucester’s second- half fightback. Hosts City were on top of the game for the first 25 minutes, controlling the tempo well and creating numerous chances, yet the visitors opened the scoring on the half-hour mark. The ball was bouncing around the area until Moors centre forward Glen Taylor rifled a volley into the net from close range. Spennymoor could have doubled their lead in the 42nd minute, but Liam Daly’s brilliant goalline clearance kept the Tigers in it.
