MERTHYR failed to convert a last-minute penalty that would have rescued a point, the sixth penalty this season that the Martyrs have failed to score. In a first half of few clear-cut chances, Merthyr played some excellent football and only a last ditch clearance from Met Police captain Oliver Robinson denied Owain Jones converting Ian Traylor’s Cross.
