AS A regular follower of Non-League football in the north-west, it is a great frustration to me – and no doubt other local ‘hoppers’ – that both Squires Gate and AFC Blackpool play their home games on the same day.
Apart from AFC Fylde, these are the only two teams left in the area yet despite the fact that they both play in the North West Counties League (Squires Gate in the Premier and AFC Blackpool in Division One), both have an agonising symmetry to their home fixtures.
