BURY’S SIGHTS SET ON STEP 6

THE new Bury AFC phoenix club are among 11 clubs who have applied to join the North West Counties League Step 6 divisions next season, it has been announced.
Bury were expelled from the Football League with £5 million debts last August after a takeover bid failed.
The ‘replacement’ club is one of two new sides applying to join the league, the other being FC Isle of Man, under new manager Chris Bass.
Existing clubs applying to move up from Step 7 are Allscott (West Midlands (Regional) League), Ashville (West Cheshire League), Crewe (Cheshire League), Egerton ...
