VICS TO REMAIN, BUT NO MERGER

WITTON Albion and Northwich Victoria have extended their groundshare agreement to the end of the 2025/26 season – but flatly deny any suggestions of a merger.
The deal ensured the North West Counties Vics will continue playing at nearby Wincham Park for the next five seasons but it is solely a business decision, according to Witton chairman John Salmon.
“Groundshares make commercial sense, it’s a two-way street,” he said. “In this case, we receive much-needed income and assistance with maintenance on the ground, whilst they have a stable home.
