JONNY Fowell has quit as manager of Essex Senior League outfit Ilford for personal reasons.
Fowell led the Foxes away from the relegation zone before the campaign was cancelled, but now has decided to take a break from the game.
Ilford offered him other roles within the club in a bid to persuade him to stay, and have left the door open for him to return.
