SHAWBURY United are coming home after spending the last four years playing in exile 40 miles away.
The West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division club have been given planning permission by Shropshire Council for new community facilities on a 4.5-acre site outside the village.
The new headquarters will have five pitches to cater for the club’s 250 players, one of which will meet Step 6 ground grading facilities for the first team.
There will also be a second floodlit pitch to accommodate the club’s new under 23s side.
