IT was second versus fourth at Clarence Park yesterday as St Albans City and Hungerford Town met – but it proved to be a battle of the defences.
Hungerford’s Craig Fasanmade was presented with the first real opening of the game inside 11 minutes when a ball in from the right found the attacker free, but he could only direct his attempt straight at Johnson after spinning in the box.
A minute later, Shaun Jeffers – last-minute hero in the victory at Dartford in midweek – looked to test Cairney in the Hungerford net...
