GODBOLD DOCKS IN TO PORT

FORMER Chelsea and Wimbledon player John Godbold has been handed the reins of Western Premier strugglers Bridport Town.
Godbold, who has a UEFA A coaching licence, and coached at Crystal Palace, QPR and in the USA, India and Singapore, was previously assistant to Bob Russell in 2003.
He has just returned to the UK after running a sports academy in Qatar, and replaces Jamie Manley and Kevin Leigh, who has left with their side second from bottom having lost eight of their nine league games this season.
