■ SHAUN JEFFERS’ strike kept St Albans City’s great start to the season going at Eastbourne Borough.

The striker’s low finish midway through the first half proved to be the difference.
Chances were few and far between with Greg Luer seeing his effort deflected just wide of the post with Michael Johnson beaten.
