UCL: Clubs get a choice

THE UNITED Counties League are allowing their clubs to continue playing fixtures should they want to – and urging them to check the ‘takeaway’ regulations with their local authorities.
The Steps 5 and 6 league which runs across Northamptonshire, Rutland, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and parts of Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk, is set to restart as planned on Saturday.
The Premier Division has 14 teams in Tier 3 areas and the remaining six in Tier 2, while Division One is at a 50-50 split between those two tiers.
