NATIONAL LEAGUE clubs are looking forward to re-opening their gates again – provided they are in Tier 2 of the Government’s Covid restrictions.
Steps 1 and 2 fall into the ‘elite framework’ and, from Wednesday, will now be allowed to admit fans in limited numbers having been forced to start the season behind closed doors.
Outdoor venues in Tier 1 can have up to 4,000 or 50 per cent of the capacity, whichever is lower, and stadiums in Tier 2 are allowed up to 2,000 or 50 per cent. Tier 3 clubs will still have to play behind closed doors.
