■A MATT Turner penalty early in this FA Vase tie proved  enough to send Malvern Town into the third round of the competition.

Chances were few and far between on a bitterly cold afternoon with torrential rain further hindering both sides.
The only goal came on 16 minutes.
Harry Clark was fouled inside the area and Turner stepped up to fire the spot kick past the Atherstone keeper.
Three minutes later it could have been all-square when Mitch Thompson went close for the Midland League Division One side only to be denied by an excellent save from Kieron Blackbur...
