■WESSEX League football returned on a cold and wet Saturday afternoon.
However, a mixture of rain, hail and sleet on Saturday morning meant that all fixtures except for one was called off due to waterlogged pitches.
East Cowes Vics on the Isleof-Wight, played at home to Ringwood Town.
The Islanders, whose Beatrice Avenue home ground is fortunately only under Tier One restrictions, played out a goalless first-half against Town.
Ji Nash opened the scoring for Vics on the hour mark but they were unable to wrap up the three points.
