CLUB LEGEND: Eddie Belt

DORCHESTER TOWN are mourning the loss of former player, manager, chairman and club ambassador Eddie Belt, who passed away this week.
Described as ‘Mr Dorchester’, Eddie made his first-team debut for the Magpies at the age of 15 and after a long playing career, moved into coaching, working his way up from the club’s academy to the first team.
Eddie was invited on to the board of directors and in 1995 was elected as club chairman – a position he held for over a decade.
