NPL kick off but restrictions curb the big restart

THE NORTHERN Premier League won’t now force their clubs to play their Christmas fi xtures after some resumed their season yesterday - while the Isthmian and Southern Leagues remain paused until January at the earliest.
Large areas covering the Isthmian and Southern Leagues were reclassified into the strictest Tier 3 Covid areas by the government on Thursday.
And last night Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced plans for London and Tier 3 areas in the south-east to be put into a new Tier 4 category. Non-elite football ...
