THERE was to be no FA Trophy upset at Haig Avenue as National League leaders Torquay United edged past Southport to reach the quarter-finals.
With a 39-place gap between the sides in the Non-League pyramid, Gary Johnson’s men lived up to their billing as heavy favourites as they took the lead in the eighth minute through Josh Umerah’s third goal of the season.
