BENFIELD MOURN TOP CHIEF ROBSON

KEY figures of the past and present have paid tribute to Newcastle Benfield chairman Dave Robson, who passed away earlier this week.
Robson was a mainstay at the Northern League Division One club and stepped up to take the lead role at Sam Smith’s Park following the passing of former chairman Jimmy Rowe in September 2019.
He helped continue the rapid development made on and off the pitch since taking over the lead role at the club but had to take time away when he was diagnosed with Covid-19 last March.
