SPIREITES MAY BE MADE TO FORFEIT

CHESTERFIELD’S FA Trophy fifth round tie against Aldershot Town was postponed just an hour before kick-off after a member of the Spireites’ squad developed Coronavirus symptoms during their overnight stay in Hampshire.
James Rowe’s side had travelled down to Farnborough’s Village Hotel on Friday only for one unnamed player to report symptoms on the morning of the game.
A lateral flow test then gave a positive result, which was immediately reported to the National League, and the game was officially called off just before 2pm.
