AFC FYLDE chairman David Haythornthwaite fears the National League will lose its elite status if clubs vote to terminate the season.
The Coasters chief wrote to fellow National League North and South clubs in the week to make a “passionate plea for us all to find a way to continue”.
Haythornthwaite believes the terms of loans on offer from Sport England can be of use to clubs and with no-cost tests set to be provided to clubs, he called for a way forward to be found.
