SPARTANS’ TRIBUTE

SUPPORTERS of Blyth Spartans have made an impressive start in their bid to mark the career of club legend Robbie Dale with a mural outside their Croft Park home.
Long-serving Dale scored 212 goals in a club record 680 appearances for the Northumberland outfit as he became one of the most recognisable figures in the northeast Non-League game.
He brought an end to his career last year and Spartans supporters are now working hard to raise £5,000 to cover the costs of a mural designed by Sunderland-based artist Frank Styles.
