■ HORNCHURCH fell short of staging a second-half comeback as Leatherhead hung on to claim a point at Bridge Avenue.
It was the visitors who took the lead soon after the ten-minute mark when Chidubem Onokwai capitalised on some lax Hornchurch play at the back and fired his shot low across goalkeeper Joe Wright into the far corner of the goal.
It was nearly 2-0 soon after when Onokwai found space in behind, but this time Wright was equal to the effort at the near post.
