■ Fylde’s place in the hat EMEKA OBI booked AFC with the Coasters just 15 minutes from penalties.
The hosts nearly took an early lead when Jack Sampson’s fantastic headed effort from a Luke Joyce free-kick was tipped over by Gateshead keeper Jacob Chapman.
But the visitors were denied by an offside flag on 40 minutes when Adam Campbell burst down the right and set up teammate Paul Blackett.
Campbell who was next to try his luck with a curling effort towards the far post but Coasters custodian Bobby Jones got down and held well.
