STOURBRIDGE won on spot-kicks, despite playing over half the match a man down, to continue Hemel Hempstead’s poor record in cup competition in recent seasons.
Hemel led on 18 minutes when a cross from Dan Wishart was deflected in.
But they led for only two minutes before Montel Gibson took advantage of a defensive lapse to level the scores.
Lathaniel Rowe-Turner saw red just before halftime. And Hemel started to dominate after the break.
