TONBRIDGE ANGELS avoided a potential banana skin by beating Isthmian North leaders Canvey Island at a cold, wet and windy Park Lane.
Joe Turner’s deflected second-half goal proved the much-needed difference for the National League South Angels as they edged through to the next round.
