HARVEY SMITH’S early goal was enough to book Coventry Sphinx’s safe passage into the next round after a hard-fought tussle against their city rivals.
With so much at stake, chances proved hard to come by and the game was marred by a sending-off for both sides early in the second-half.
The best opportunity of the game fell to Sphinx on 16 minutes and the hosts made the most of it.
