MOATSIDERS PUT IN THE WORK FOR THE VICTORY

TWO Korrey Henry penalties gave the Moatsiders their first win in seven games. Merstham deserved it, but Wingate made the home side work hard for the three points.
It was a scrappy game and five bookings for the visitors tells its own story.
Wingate had the first chance when Cotter headed over on eight minutes. But Merstham went in front on 27 minutes when Henry’s flick found Jude Mason stealing in at the far post. His shot was half blocked, but the ball had enough pace on it to cross the line and the assistant flagged to give the goal...
