IT WAS only eight years ago Hallam FC were playing in front of a crowd of 78 – on Tuesday the Step 6 side took on Brigg Town watched by 1,128!
One of Non-League’s most famous names, playing at the oldest ground in the world and regularly watched by Non-League enthusiast Chris Waddle, the Northern Counties East Division One club is a hive of feel-good factor.
That’s also helped by the fact Craig Denton’s side are top of the division – going toe-to-toe with North Ferriby who hosted a four-figure crowd themselves on Tuesday – and scoring plenty of goals.
