NORTH Shields lived up to their billing as FA Vase favourites as they inflicted only a third defeat in 22 games on Rugby Town at a blustery Daren Persson Stadium.
Rugby came into the game as the competition’s joint top scorers but never got going as goals from Chris McDonald and Dan Wilson – his 30th of the campaign – saw Shields home.
