■ LARKHALL’S decisive goal came on the half hour when debutant Danny Dodimead set up Alex Lambert with a perfect pass, and he slotted home from an acute angle.
Up to that moment the Larks had probably been second best although Willand never really tested keeper Shaun Semmens.
The home side looked more purposeful in the second period and Larks’ Brad Norris was unlucky not to double the lead with two fierce long-range strikes, both of which went just wide. There was a nervous moment for the home support when Semmens came out of his goal...
