MARGATE extended their unbeaten run to nine games when Crossley Lena’s deflected effort completed a come-from-behind victory to maintain their play-off charge.
But the defeat kept Brightlingsea deep in the relegation mire, as they were twice denied by the woodwork after going behind early in the second half.
The Rs missed out on a dream start when Dom Locke pounced on an early mix-up in the Gate defence but fired wide.
