FINLAY Lovatt’s two goals secured three vital points for the Moatsiders, his late winner ending their sixgame winless run in a frenetic encounter.
The on-loan Lovatt’s efforts moved Merstham five points clear of the relegation spots and left Leatherhead ten points from survival with ten games left for the troubled Tanners.
Merstham should have led on five minutes, when Korrey Henry was denied by Tanners keeper Harry Cawdron and Andrew Sesay just failed to turn in the rebound.
