DELIGHTED Steve Castle hailed the “perfect victory” as his Royston Town lifted the Southern League Challenge Cup with a thumping 5-0 win over Taunton Town.
Castle’s side – eighth in Premier Central – arguably went into the twolegged final as underdogs against a Peacocks’ side just one point off the top of the parelleled Premier South.
But, a 2-0 away win in the first leg, followed by this storming five-star show on Tuesday night, completed what the club described on their social media platforms as the “biggest trophy in the club’s history”.
