WELFARE REQUEST A DROP

STAVELEY Miners Welfare chairman and owner Terry Damms has asked the FA to relegate the mid-table Northern Counties East Premier club at the end of the season.
Damms says he wants to cut the wage bill by playing at a lower level so that the Inkersall Road club can be re-developed, while leaving it debt-free within five years.
