KIERAN Barnes joked that he’d hang up his boots if he ever scored at Wembley. He quickly laughed it off.
Aged 24, Barnes is nowhere near retirement, but will do well to top the adrenaline rush of scoring Newport Pagnell Town’s opener in last Sunday’s Buildbase FA Vase final.
The midfielder’s tremendous half-volley from 25 yards broke the deadlock against Littlehampton Town – and unsurprisingly he’s watched it back a few times since.
