GOYTRE GIVE UNI BOYS A LESSON

GOYTRE UNITED got their JD Cymru South campaign off to a flying start with a 2-1 victory over Swansea University.
This was an extremely ill-tempered affair with Swansea’s Usamah Abdullateef shown a red card for a recklessly late tackle in the penalty box. Goytre took full advantage when Kyran Steadman drilled the resulting penalty into the back of the net.
A header from Thomas Griffiths doubled Goytre’s lead before a late consolation goal from Adam Orme pulled one back for the Students, but it was too little too late.
