HASTINGS emphatically lifted themselves out of the early relegation zone with this convincing win over fellow early strugglers Brightlingsea, their first three points of the season.
However, they had to come from behind after the Rs made a dream start to the afternoon.
There were seven minutes on the clock when Luke Woodward laced a ball through to Luke Skinner to knock past on-rushing Us keeper Louis Rogers.
