IN THE THIRD successive FA Vase tie between these two United Counties League clubs, Quorn secured their win with two late goals.
After a close 25 minutes, the tie came to life when Clifton’s Wayde Nines won and scored a penalty. Quorn levelled almost immediately when David Assuncao finished off a mazy run.
Quorn wingers Karl Demidh and Assuncao continued to stretch the Clifton defence and when Assuncao’s shot was saved Patrick Webb followed up to give Quorn a 2-1 lead just after half time.
