The next manager appointment at Scunthorpe United could be the biggest in the club’s history.
Bottom of the National League with six defeats on the spin and manager Keith Hill, inset, gone, they are at a real crossroads.
We covered them on the opening day against Yeovil Town for their only win of the season. I didn’t come away thinking, ‘Scunthorpe will go well’. If anything, Yeovil could have nicked something at the end.
It’s similar to the Southend United situation when they were relegated from the EFL.
