CRAIG ELLIOTT jokes what might have been had his Glasshoughton Welfare beaten Graham Potter’s Leeds Carnegie back in 2010.
A 1-0 defeat on a September evening still sticks in the memory of the former Shaw Lane and Boston United boss.
While Potter has taken over at Premier League Chelsea, Elliott has a new job of his own having been appointed new gaffer at Matlock Town.
“When I saw he went to Chelsea I had a little moment to myself thinking, I remember managing against him – what could have been that day if we’d have beat them!” Elliott laughed.
