A DRAW was a fair result from a hard-fought clash that was one of only two in the Southern League Division One Central on the day.
There was little to choose between the sides in a defence-dominated opening half in which the Abbots’ best effort was a Christian Adu-Gyamfi shot straight at WGC keeper Charlie Crowley, while Cheyce Grant replied by blazing over for the Citizens.
WGC broke the deadlock six minutes after the break with Josh Hutchinson setting up Joe Dearman to drive low into the far corner.
