CITY of Liverpool produced an excellent performance on the road to take all three points.
A lightning start saw James Steele hammer home from close range after debutant Kev Ellison’s cross was only half cleared.
The Purps increased their lead with Ellison again the provider, crossing from the left for John McGrath to neatly flick home.
It was dreamland for the Purps after 27 minutes when Ellison took a long ball down magnificently, to slot beyond Harrison.
