Mendes sparkles as Reds march on

COLNE sailed through to the second round with a resounding win at Holt House.
The Reds went in front in the first minute when Owen Watkinson laid the ball back for Craig Carney to slot home a low shot from 12 yards, catching the Rylands defence cold. Colne keeper Andre Mendes made a great save to prevent Harry Pratt snatching an equaliser, but Colne doubled their lead after 12 minutes when Oli Roberts found the top corner with a curling 20-yard free kick over the defensive wall.
