QUITE how Merstham lost to Hanworth Villa only they will know.
They completely dominated the opening 45 minutes but once again missed a host of chances, the story of their season.
The worst miss was by new signing Omar Koroma, who latched on to a dreadful header back to the keeper. But having taken it around Terry Buss, he miscued his finish. At the start of the second half, Merstham were made to pay for the profligacy when a long throw was flicked on and Gagan Samra was on hand to poke the ball home. That was Villa’s only shot on target.
