LANCING had to work hard to earn a narrow win over bottom side Corinthian, who played at a level far above what their league position suggests.
Lancing were denied a claim for a penalty when Reece Hallard was brought down. The foul looked to have been inside the box but the referee disagreed.
With 44 minutes gone, Ashley Mutongerwa hit a powerful drive which keeper Daniel Colmer was able to fingertip over the bar. From the resulting corner, Tom Butler was quick to react and get the ball over the line.
