THE battle of the strugglers saw Gorleston emerge with a much-needed three points.
The hosts pressed from the kick-off with the Coggeshall goalkeeper, Akan George, denying them.
The Greens were rewarded for their pressure in the 15th minute after Ross Gilfedder was fouled in the box and Connor Deeks converted the penalty.
Coggeshall came into the game as the half wore on, but Greens’ keeper, Jake Jessup, denied them twice.
