NATIONAL League strugglers Gateshead’s sterling second-half comeback at the International Stadium came to nothing as a mixup at the back handed Stevenage victory in an epic FA Cup tie on Tyneside.
League Two title contenders Stevenage were head and shoulders above a depleted Gateshead in the first half and would have been out of site but for impressive Heed shot-stopper James Montgomery.
